The call to industry to guarantee traceability and identification using Braille, as well as the latest pharmaceutical labelling legislation, moved etifix's developers to design a transparent label with raised Braille characters. Braille is currently a standard feature on many different types of packaging. In the pharmaceutical sector it is increasingly becoming a legal requirement across Europe. The twelfth amendment to the German Medicines Act requires Braille to be included on the packaging of all medicinal products in Germany by September 1, 2006 at the latest.

The etifix solution provides the perfect answer! The printed Braille is clearly tangible and can be varied in size and content whenever a customer specifically requires it. This has a whole range of advantages over Braille imprints made directly on the packaging: greater flexibility, broad design scope, optimum haptics. The Braille can be integrated at any time into existing labels or applied to products as a separate label. Put us to the test!
